Our short answer

An international online casino is one licensed in one place that takes players from many countries, often in several currencies. That reach is a business choice, not a legal permission. Whether you may play depends on the law where you live and on the casino’s own list of restricted countries.

For the licence-checked casinos below, our sources rarely say clearly which English-speaking countries are accepted. Canada is the country most often listed as accepted. The UK and the US are the countries most often restricted. We have not tested any of these casinos ourselves, and we recommend none of them yet.

How we chose

We took the casinos from our database whose domain we found in the Anjouan public register on 30 October 2026, and whose official website we could confirm. That gives 14 casinos with a current licence, plus Lucknation, whose licence expired on 4 October 2026. The method is in our offshore casino licence audit.

For each casino we recorded what our sources say about six English-speaking markets: the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, Ireland and New Zealand. We mark a country “restricted” or “accepted” only where the casino’s terms or a named review site says so. Everything else counts as unknown, and the table leaves it out. More on our sources is in how we review.

None of these casinos is confirmed as accepting Australia or Ireland in our sources. None of those with stated currencies lists GBP.

“Accepted” does not mean “licensed for your country”. SpinsOfGlory lists Canada, Australia, Ireland and New Zealand as accepted, yet its claimed Anjouan licence is not in the register. Zizobet is listed as accepting the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, but its Curaçao licence is unverified and, according to an affiliate site, it is not licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. Both have the position “We do not recommend”.

Country by country

United Kingdom

A casino needs a Gambling Commission licence to offer games to people in Great Britain, and none of the licences above is a UK licence. Dazard, GreatSlots, PlayFina and Trixino list the UK as restricted.

Ireland

The Gambling Regulation Act 2024 created the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland, which is bringing in a new licensing system. None of the casinos above is confirmed as accepting Ireland.

United States

Online casinos are legal only in the few states that license them, and each state lists its approved operators. AeroBet, Crownslots, Dazard, NikaCasino, PlayFina and Trixino restrict the US in our sources, and SevenPlay excludes Ohio according to LCB.

Canada

Ontario has its own regulated market, run through iGaming Ontario, and other provinces offer legal play through their lottery corporations. That is why offers at AvoCasino, Dazard, NikaCasino and SevenPlay exclude Ontario. Interac, a common Canadian payment method, is offered at AeroBet, AvoCasino and PlayFina.

Australia

The Interactive Gambling Act 2001 bans offering real money online casino games to people in Australia, and the regulator ACMA blocks illegal sites. None of the casinos above is confirmed as accepting Australia.

New Zealand

New Zealand is moving to a licensing system for online casinos; the Department of Internal Affairs publishes the current position. Crownslots is listed as accepting New Zealand, and AvoCasino and Crownslots list NZD.

How to check whether a casino accepts your country

  1. Read the restricted-countries section of the casino’s terms. If your country is listed, do not sign up.
  2. Check the bonus terms too. Offers often exclude regions, such as Ontario, even when the casino itself does not.
  3. Look at the currency list. Your currency on the list is a hint, not proof.
  4. Treat affiliate pages with care. Their country lists are often out of date.
  5. Register with your true details. Your address will be checked against your documents before the first withdrawal.

Currencies, payments and conversion costs

Euros are the most common currency in our data. AvoCasino lists 13 fiat currencies, including CAD, AUD and NZD, and Crownslots lists CAD, AUD, NZD and USD. Most casinos above also accept several cryptocurrencies. If your own currency is not offered, your bank or card provider may charge conversion fees on every deposit and withdrawal, and the casino may convert your balance at its own rate.

What to watch out for

  • Restricted-country terms. Casino terms commonly allow the casino to close an account opened from a restricted country and void its winnings.
  • VPNs. Using a VPN to appear to be somewhere else breaks most casinos’ terms. Casinos check where you are, including during ID checks, and can freeze the account and keep the winnings.
  • Licence dates. Lucknation’s licence has expired, and Winzter’s runs only to 27 December 2026.
  • Lookalike sites. GreatSlots has lookalike and affiliate sites that falsely claim a UK Gambling Commission licence. Use the domain listed in the register.
  • Self-exclusion. International casinos do not honour your national self-exclusion scheme.

Online gambling is for adults aged 18 and over, or older where local law says so. See our responsible gambling page for limits and support.

FAQ

Is an international online casino legal where I live?

The casino’s licence does not decide that; your local law does. Check your country’s rules and the casino’s restricted-country list before you register.

Can I play at these casinos from the UK?

The licences we confirmed for these casinos are Anjouan licences, not UK Gambling Commission licences. Dazard, GreatSlots, PlayFina and Trixino list the UK as restricted.

How do I know if a casino accepts players from my country?

Read the restricted-countries list in its terms and the region rules in its bonus terms. If they are unclear, ask support in writing before you deposit.

Which currencies do international casinos accept?

Euros are the most common in our data. AvoCasino and Crownslots also list CAD, AUD and NZD, and many casinos accept cryptocurrencies.

Can I use a VPN to reach an international casino?

We advise against it. It usually breaks the terms, and casinos that detect it can close the account and confiscate winnings. We do not give advice on getting around country blocks.

Do international casinos ask for ID?

Yes, in every set of terms we read. Expect to send a photo ID, proof of address and proof of your payment method, usually before the first withdrawal.

Gambling is entertainment, not a way to make money. Set a deposit limit before you play. If you have self-excluded in your country, an offshore casino will not honour it, so please do not use one to get around it.
